Bläser Band
Bläser Band is a Philadelphia-based wind octet devoted to Classical music for Harmonie ensemble. Bringing together long-time colleagues from across the Northeast, Bläser Band aims to share an extraordinary and rarely heard repertory with its audiences through performance and educational outreach. Recognizing its original role as music for social events, Bläser Band believes that Harmoniemusik should continue to be experienced in a convivial and spontaneous atmosphere.
The ensemble’s members play in some of the most prestigious ensembles in the United States and abroad, including Tafelmusik, Handel and Haydn Society, Philharmonia Baroque, American Bach Soloists, Opera Lafayette, the American Classical Orchestra, Trinity Wall Street, and Apollo’s Fire, and serve on the faculties at the Eastman School of Music, Indiana University, The Juilliard School, George Mason University and The College of New Jersey.
